Most of my posts begin with telling you how great a day it is and how happy I am to be out of the house. This is not that kind of day. I would be in bed if it weren't for the commitment that I made to Sherry to meet her here today. Pretty sure I've been working too hard and not sleeping and it has caught up to me like one of Wile E. Coyote's anvils.Fox Vineyards and Winery

It's not a bad drive from Athens, but it's a blustery day. Most of you have probably stopped in at their tasting room in Helen. I'm happy to report that the man behind the counter was enthusiastic and helpful.
It reminds me of South Georgia out here, flat. Unfortunately, we had a early winter and everything was a flat shade of dormant grass.
What they have is sweet, but some of it is surprising, the raspberry is not at all what I was expecting. There is also some stuff in the back that isn't on the main menu. The one we tried was a musty red that was not something that most people would care for, but to each their own! I don't recall being charged for a tasting, but this was not my finest hour.
I may have been cranky, but I know genius when I see it and this packaging is just that, genius. It's heavy duty cardboard and is perfect for transporting three bottles. I've been to multiple wineries in the course of a day and picked up several bottles from each for friends and had to figure out a way to mitigate the clink fest that can follow. This made my day!
