Peach County

Hallelujah!  I'm giving our kids to my parents for five whole days!!   This is the halfway point where we meet, Fort Valley, GA.  Unrelated to the quest for wine, Lane has a playground, restaurant, and plenty of restrooms.

Lane is known more for it's peaches and actually, they don't produce any wine, but they sell Butter Ducks wine from Savannah, GA.  Seeing as how this is the closest I'll be getting to Savannah for quite some time, I'll report from here. 

Butter Ducks uses Georgia fruit for its fruit wines and my friends that are fans of the sweet wines really like the selection that Butter Ducks produces.  There are a few that are only seasonal, strawberry being the most sought after by the bunch I buy for.

Lane currently is only doing tastings on the peach varieties and they are free.  Dancing Ducks, not surprisingly, is also produced by the same company.  

 

Unfortunately you can't see the price tags very well.  The wines range from $9.99 to $17.95. 
 The majority fall in the $11-12 range.
